This is a very nice early 60’s ultra rare vintage Western Germany Model 5353 Telefunken Andante 5353W Tube radio with it’s original Telefunken tubes. This radio powers up and works (***see note below). All tone pots and all buttons work.Tuner dial moves, but only works on the AM setting. For the FM, the needle moves but does not change stations. Fine tuning adjustment works and magic eye tube narrows when signal comes in stronger and widens when signal falls off. Radio speakers sound great. After unit warms up, the audio initially was clear and then over time started distorting. This needs new electrolytics and other servicing done to it. So selling as is. Comes with the original schematics and circuit diagrams sheet for a service tech to use! *** Regarding power to the radio: There is a two pin female connector on the removable back panel that is supposed to mate with the two male pins inside the radio (see the last photo before the schematics) I could not get them to line up and plug in properly. In order to test the radio I used alligator clips and separate bare lead AC power cable to power up. Keep this in mind when you go to work on it! As mentioned in the description. This radio does power up and a lot of the radio functions as it should, but there are many issues to address, so I am selling this “as-is” for parts/repair. No returns.
